Sneaker photo checklist: model, colour and construction
Check sneaker model, colour, soles, stitching and included parts before ordering. Learn which photos to compare and when to request a closer view.
Before choosing sneakers, confirm that the photos show the model and colour you want. Then check the construction details that matter to you. This checklist focuses on appearance; use the sneaker sizing and shoe-box article for fit and packing decisions.
Confirm the model and colour
Compare the product title, selected option and gallery. Look at both shoes, their side panels, sole pattern and colour accents. If the gallery combines several colour options, ask which photos match your selection.
Build a useful photo comparison
Save the product page for your selected colour and identify a few details that distinguish it: panel arrangement, sole colour, heel design and any included accessories. Compare the same side of each shoe with the same reference view. Different camera angles can make a toe look longer or a sole look thicker, so a shape difference needs a comparable photo before you judge it.
Separate a visible issue from an unanswered question. A clearly missing accessory is a concrete discrepancy. A dark patch in one poorly lit photo might be a shadow, a surface mark or a material difference. Ask for another angle instead of treating those possibilities as interchangeable.
Check the details in clear photos
| Detail | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Toe and side panels | Matching shape, even panels and visible surface damage |
| Stitching and joins | Loose threads, uneven seams or gaps at the sole |
| Heel and tongue | Model markings, labels and details on both shoes |
| Soles | Tread, side markings and visible damage |
| Included parts | Laces, insoles and packaging shown for your selected option |
Photos can reveal visible differences, but they cannot prove authenticity or guarantee comfort. Avoid treating a small thumbnail as a complete inspection.
Compare photos from the right source
Seller photos show the advertised product. Catalog QC photos may show another buyer’s item. Warehouse photos show the item received for your order. The photo-source comparison explains the difference.
When your shoes reach the warehouse, compare the model, colour and visible details with the product page. If an important area is missing or blurred, request a clear view before making a decision. See the warehouse inspection guide for photo options and limits.
A real pair: visible details and missing views

Buyer arrival photo from the 10kg streetwear delivery. You can see the light-coloured side panels, patterned overlays and part of the sole edges. The picture also shows both shoes together, which helps compare their visible colours and panel placement.
The outsole tread, inside size labels and full heel views are not shown. This picture cannot settle a question about those areas. It is an arrival photo of that buyer’s pair, not the warehouse inspection of your order. Use it to decide which views to request, rather than to approve an unseen pair or establish authenticity.
Turn a concern into a specific request
| Your question | A useful requested view |
|---|---|
| Do both heels have the same visible markings? | Both heels upright in one clear photo |
| Is the mark on the outer side a shadow? | Close-up of that area under even lighting |
| Is the selected size present on both shoes? | Readable inside labels for both shoes |
| Are the stated spare laces included? | Shoes and included loose parts together |
Confirm whether the requested views are available and whether there is a charge. A short request naming the shoe, side and concern is easier to act on than “check everything.” Include the order reference when contacting support.
Decide what matters before you ship
An obvious model or colour mismatch needs clarification even if the pair looks attractive. For a minor cosmetic detail, compare the clear photos with your own expectations and the seller’s description. Do not infer comfort, durability or authenticity from stitching alone.
Keep your reference images and the response about any discrepancy. If you cannot resolve a problem, consult the return guide while the item is still in the warehouse. After the appearance decision, use the separate sizing and packing article for the next step.
Decide before international shipping
- Confirm the model and colour on your order.
- Review both shoes and the details you care about.
- Clarify visible differences or missing parts.
- Decide whether to keep the pair or check return options while it is still in the warehouse.
