USFans shipping costs, weight and packing
International shipping is the second payment in a shopping-agent parcel. You already paid the product plus China domestic delivery into the warehouse; you reviewed warehouse photos; status shows Stored. Only then do you build a parcel, pick a line, and pay outbound postage. This page is about that shipping bill — not DIY Orders checkout.
Spreadsheet shoppers usually want a ballpark before storage fills up. Use the 1 kg samples below as orientation, then run Estimation (or the live quote at parcel submit) with the SKUs actually sitting in your warehouse. Live checkout always wins over any dated table on this site.
Where shipping sits in the parcel
- Pay DIY Orders (item + seller → warehouse shipping) — see How to buy
- Wait for Received / Stored; review free QC photos
- Open Warehouse → select keepers → address → line → pay international shipping
- Warehouse packs and weighs; settle difference on balance if needed
- Track the parcel, not each old item line — Order status
If anything is still Confirmation Pending, Clear Balance unpaid, or inbound (not Stored), do not force it into a parcel. Fix those rows first.
1 kg sample quotes
Reference for a 1 kg parcel from the USFans agent summary (checked 2026-09-28). Not your invoice. Lines rename, prices move, and peak seasons stretch transit. EU / UK buyers should still budget VAT or customs on top of shipping.
| Destination | Line (as listed) | Sample price | Transit |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | US Line Packet-F | ¥151.68 | 8–18 days |
| United Kingdom | UK Line Packet | ¥96 | 6–18 days |
| Germany | German DHL Line | ¥94.08 | 8–18 days |
Help Center shipping FAQ also sketches rough legs: several days into the warehouse after purchase, then about a week to a few weeks outbound depending on the line. Treat every day range as a window, not a delivery promise. Weekends, holidays, and customs holds sit outside those numbers.
What the sample table does not tell you
- Your real billing weight after packing (often higher than “item only” grams on cards)
- Whether your line uses volumetric weight for bulky soft goods or shoe boxes
- Insurance, remote-area surcharges, or line-specific restricted goods
- Destination duties — those are between you, the carrier, and customs
Actual weight vs volumetric weight
On many routes the carrier bills the greater of scale weight and volumetric weight. Official help defines them roughly as:
- Actual weight — product plus packaging on a scale (kg)
- Volumetric weight — length × width × height (cm) ÷ a divisor such as 5000 (sometimes 6000 / 7000 / 8000 by provider)
Worked intuition: a light down jacket in a large carton can “weigh” more on volume than on the scale. A dense stack of folded tees often bills closer to scale weight. Shoe boxes and hard packaging are classic quote movers — removing the box only helps if the line you pick actually bills volume and the warehouse can strip packaging under your options.
When packaging options matter
- Remove shoe box / original packaging — can cut volume; may raise wear risk in transit
- Vacuum / compress soft goods — helps on volume-heavy lines when the service is available
- Keep box — better protection; expect a higher volumetric quote
Tick options only after you know how your candidate line bills. Guessing “always remove box” is not a strategy.
Estimate → pack → refund or top-up
USFans’ billing help splits the shipping number into two stages. That is why forum posts talk about “deposit then refund” — it is platform mechanics, not a spreadsheet invention.
- Estimated billing weight — at parcel submit, the system guesses packaged weight from stored item weights (and adjusts if you request packaging strip). You pay against this estimate.
- Actual billing weight — after the warehouse packs and weighs/measures. If the courier later revises, their figure can become the billable one. Parcel details often update a few days after ship-out.
If actual > estimate, you get a pending payment / Clear Balance style notice — top up so the parcel can keep moving. If estimate > actual by more than the continued-weight unit, help text says the difference refunds to your USFans balance within about 72 hours after ship-out (confirm live wording). Refunds usually land in balance, not instantly on your card — see Payment.
Why consolidate (and when not to)
Official combine-delivery help: one international parcel usually beats several separate first-weight charges and per-parcel handling fees. Their worked example (USA via GD-EMS, three items) shows separate submissions costing far more than one combined box of the same total grams.
Consolidation usually wins when
- Items are already Stored and passed QC
- You are not near storage expiry on only some lines — mix carefully if DIY (90-day) and Forwarding (60-day) share a parcel; see Warehouse storage
- Weight stays in a “personal use” look for your destination
Split or shrink the parcel when
- The box would be very heavy (help tips mention roughly over 10 kg as a commercial-looking zone — not a hard law, a risk flag)
- Too many identical units (looks like resale to some customs officers)
- One long side ≥ 90 cm — may be auto-tagged to ship alone so packing stays reasonable
- You want different declaration strategies for low-risk vs branded-heavy goods
Savings from one carton never erase destination risk. Do not blindly max every parcel into a single box because a forum post said “always consolidate.”
Optional packing services
Value-added warehousing help lists services you can buy around pack time. Yuan figures below came from an agent summary check — confirm live fees in your account before purchase.
| Service | What it does | Sample fee (check live) |
|---|---|---|
| Rehearsal packing | Pack and weigh before you commit to a final line | About ¥20 / parcel |
| Parcel photos | Before/after seal shots of the finished box | About ¥5 |
| Detailed Photo | Extra warehouse angles after stock-in (item-level) | About ¥1 each |
Rehearsal is most useful when volumetric weight is borderline and you are choosing between lines or deciding whether to strip boxes. Detailed Photo belongs earlier in the QC step — full angles guide: Warehouse QC photos.
Customs and declaration (high level)
Customs-risk help: the platform may flag risky goods and suggest lower-risk lines, but returns, fines, and taxes at destination sit with the recipient. Coupons and shipping discounts never replace duties. Agent notes elsewhere still say USFans does not “clear” branded goods for you.
When you submit a parcel you typically choose Personalized Declaration or System Declaration. Declared value and inspection frequency both affect outcomes. Heavy or high-value parcels raise random-check odds — another reason the 1 kg sample table is not a full risk model.
- Read line restrictions before you add batteries, liquids, or magnetic goods
- Keep invoice-style honesty aligned with what customs in your country expects — this spreadsheet does not coach under-declaration
- Budget a customs contingency for EU / UK / other VAT regimes even when shipping looks cheap
Coupons (shipping-only)
New-account international-shipping coupon packs (percentage-off and threshold cash coupons) appear in many agent summaries. Thresholds, eligible lines, and expiry change. Open the coupon wallet on usfans.com for your account — do not assume a screenshot from Reddit still applies.
How to compare lines (practical)
- Run Estimation with the exact warehouse SKUs you plan to ship
- Note estimated weight and whether volume is flagged
- Compare at least two lines: cheapest vs fastest vs “safer” branded-friendly options if the UI labels them
- Check max weight / size limits so a late add-on does not force a split
- Only then apply coupons — a coupon on a wrong line is still a wrong line
Before you lock a line
- Every selected row is Stored and you have opened warehouse QC
- No unpaid Clear Balance on those items
- Address, phone, and postal format match carrier rules for the destination
- You understand estimate → actual settlement timing
- You have a plan if customs holds the parcel (contact Live Chat / Help on usfans.com with the parcel ID)
Quick FAQ
Why is my quote much higher than the 1 kg table? Your packed weight, volumetric weight, destination, or line differs. Boxes and jackets move quotes fast.
Can I change the line after paying the estimate? Usually only before the warehouse finishes packing / ship-out rules allow it — ask Help with your parcel ID; do not assume.
Where does an overpaid estimate go? Typically to USFans balance after the actual weight posts — not an instant card refund.
Does this spreadsheet quote shipping? No. Cards here are catalog discovery. Live Estimation on usfans.com is the quote.
